Almost a year after ground was broken, the new five-storey office building within the Gauselmann Group’s headquarters site in Espelkamp, Germany, has been "topped off."

The completion of the shell of the building was celebrated by the big slots manufacturer and operator this month. It will cover 5,000sq.m and will be the group’s largest administrative building, housing 300 staff.

Chairman Paul Gauselmann said that it had been a trying year for the company and the business in general with around eight months of closure for many of the arcades in the group.

He paid tribute to the in-house real estate department, Merkur Immobilien, and the builder, Kögel Bau, and said that the new block should be fully operational in the final quarter of the year.

The building will be used for the human resources and real estate departments.
