A merger has been agreed between Nevada Gold and Casinos, operator of nine locations in Nevada and Washington, US, and Maverick Casinos.
The latter company will acquire all of the shares in Nevada Gold and take it private. An affiliate of Maverick owns the Wendover Nugget Hotel and Casino and Red Garter Hotel and Casino in Wendover, Nevada.
The shareholders in Nevada Gold have yet to approve the proposed deal, but it will be subject to the approval of gaming authorities and of the completion of the sale of Nevada Gold’s Club Fortune location in Henderson, Nevada, which is under contract. The new deal is expected to be finalised by the end of the year.
