Safer gambling charity YGAM’s Mindful Resilience Programme is now supported by Merkur Group UK, underlining its commitment to the protection of the vulnerable.

The programme is a pilot initiative designed to enable health care professionals to access quality training on gambling and gaming harm in young people under 25.

It is designed by psychologists with the help of academics, health professionals and individuals with experience and endorsed buy the UK’s shadow minister for mental health, Dr Rosena Alin-Khan MP.

Sascha Blodau (pictured), general manager of Merkur UK, said: “We are delighted to be able to play a small part in helping to fund an initiative that directs resource into helping to address such an important part of the safer gambling narrative.

"Our 360 Program, which we launched in September 2020, is dedicated to ensuring that all of our 2,500 UK staff understand what we mean by safer gambling and equipping our consumer-facing colleagues with the information and practical skills required to turn a philosophy into a deliverable.”
