Land-based activity in Denmark in December 2022 showed a strong year-on-year rebound.
Spillemyndigheden, the Danish gambling authority, reported that land-based casinos generated gross gaming revenue of DKK34m in December, up from DKK15m in December 2021. That represents a 133.2 per cent upturn.
The GGR for gaming machines also increased in December by 43.8 per cent, to DKK99m, up from DKK69m year-on-year.
The Danish authority said the lack of the effect of coronavirus helped impact the land-based sector.
Online casino in Denmark showed a slight year-on-year GGR increase, tallying a 3.4 per cent upturn from DKK263m to DKK272m.
Betting took a 35 per cent slump, though, with December 2022 GGR at DKK136m as opposed to the figure of DKK209m in December 2021.
