The owner of the famous Kentucky Derby horse race in the US will reopen its two Mississippi properties, Harlow’s Casino Resort and Spa in Greenville and Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, today.

Bill Carstanjen, CEO of Churchill Downs, said that the properties would open with the recommended hygiene precautions set down by the state.

They include increased frequency of cleaning and sanitising handles, doors, machines, table games and elevator buttons, compulsory temperature checks for guests and staff, Plexiglass screens, more hand sanitiser dispensers, visual aids to help measure social distancing and capacity restrictions.
