John James will become CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino in the US state of Connecticut next month.
He is replacing interim CEO Rodney Butler, who stepped in after Felix Rappaport died last June.
James is COO of Morongo Casino in California and previously held chief executive roles at Gila River Gaming, Seminole Gaming and Pechanga Casino.
His expertise includes finance, innovative marketing and design and development, which lets him take a total approach to growth and profitability, Foxwoods said.
