International Game Technology has announced that the company’s latest Sustainability Report has ranked in the Top 10 worldwide in the Credibility Through Assurance category of the 2020 CR Reporting Awards.

IGT

IGT’s annual report was selected by a voting jury of registered CRRA stakeholders for seventh place among entries from multiple industries and sectors around the world. A total of 81 companies vied for recognition in the awards programme, which features 10 categories. IGT was the only gaming company selected as a finalist in the programme.

Now in its 13th year, the CRRA is the only independent annual global awards programme recognising organisations that set new standards of excellence and leadership in corporate social responsibility reporting.

The Credibility Through Assurance category recognises companies that engage independent third parties to verify aspects of their reports and that publish their methodology, conclusions and recommendations.

"IGT’s externally audited Sustainability Report demonstrates our drive to create value globally, enhance our socially responsible citizenship and report on our initiatives transparently,” said Wendy Montgomery, IGT's senior vice president, global brand, marketing and communications.

“By being recognised for the quality, reliability and integrity of our report, we proudly count ourselves among multinational CSR leaders in industries including food and beverage, apparel and natural resources, while reaffirming our CSR leadership in the gaming industry.”

IGT actively focuses its corporate social responsibility strategy on nine of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals to continue strengthening its corporate leadership through advanced sustainability practices. Its latest report outlines the company’s 2018 achievements supporting the global communities it serves through a wide range of customer interactions, community involvement and employee engagement activities.
