The UK companies in the German Gauselmann Group are endorsing the UK Government’s ‘bounce back’ vision, says Gauselmann UK general manager Sascha Blodau.

He welcomes the relaxing of the rules to permit the reopening of adult gaming centres (AGCs) from June 15.

The group has one of the country’s largest AGC operating chains in Praesepe and supplies much of the equipment to the industry through its Blueprint Gaming business.

Blodau said that the UK companies were ready to implement a prepared ‘return to work’ programme that will include all of the safeguarding issues laid out in the government’s plans.

“Like every other business in Britain, we are very much looking forward to returning to work and as the prime minister said at the weekend, helping the UK economy to ‘bounce back’. The Praesepe brand of low stake gaming entertainment is famous for delivering fun and enjoyment and we look forward to bringing the Gauselmann smile back to Britain’s high streets.

“By getting our staff back to work we will also be taking the financial burden off the government at the same time as injecting much needed income into all of the local economies in which Praesepe has venues. This is about helping local people – our customers and staff- as well as local economies.”

He added: “We have utilised the last two months developing and fine tuning our detailed return to work programme, which comprises a set of specific protocols and initiatives to help safeguard all staff and customers.  One of the many advantages of being an international operator is that we have been able to benefit from the experience of our sister brands in Germany, Serbia and Spain that have returned to trading ahead of the UK.  This means that we are ready and fully prepared for the challenges of the ‘new normal’ and once again delivering safe and socially responsible gaming entertainment to players the length and breadth of the country.”
