The third quarter of this year has seen 65 suspicious betting alerts reported to the International Betting Integrity Association.
The organisation said that the number represented a 14 per cent decrease compared with the same quarter of last year when there were 76 alerts.
They covered mainly sport, with 23 involving tennis, 18 football, 17 table tennis, two esports and one each in handball, cricket, squash, basketball and futsal.
Geographically, Europe accounted for nearly 60 per cent of all alerts reported, followed by Asia with 15 per cent and Africa with 12 per cent.
