African locations are beginning to reopen for business too as respective governments ease the lockdown. In Botswana, the Grand Palm Hotel, Casino and Convention Resort, which was closed on March 26, has reopened.

The Botswana Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry released the company to restart operations, but as usual, it comes with conditions. Temperature screening, checks on guests on entry, sanitising of public areas are among the measures taken.

Slots are now operating 24 hours a day but 50 per cent of them are switched off, and table games from 2.00p.m. to 2.00a.m. with strict conditions including limiting the number of players at each table.

Casinos in Ghana and Zambia have already reopened.
