Two winning papers on gambling can be viewed on the website of the International Association of Gaming Advisors under its Shannon Bybee Scholarship Award.

The award is an annual programme awarding prizes for the best research papers on the industry. The two winners are Francisco Olea of the University of Arizona College of Law and David Stern of UNLV William S Boyd School of Law.

Olea’s paper was entitled “The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act and its legal implications: how its invalidation will impact Indian gaming’s legal and regulatory framework.” Stern’s paper was entitled “It’s time for wizards to give up the illusion and show their cards: how wizards of the coast circumvent gaming law to make millions.”
