An independent audit of visitors at the Australasian Gaming Expo, held in Sydney from August 13-15, has shown that the event attracted 9,005 "unique visitor attendances."

On the first day there were 3,235, followed by 2,429 on day two, of whom 1,297 were repeats, and on day three there were 1,267, of whom 777 were repeats. The figures, says Audited Media, do not include exhibitor staff, media or organiser staff.

Of the total 6,511 individuals were domestic visitors and 420 were international. A geographical analysis shows that 75.5 per cent were from New South Wales and other statistics show that 12.1 per cent, the largest single sector, were of director status with another 7.8 per cent chief executives. Gaming managers totalled 5.6 per cent, operations managers 7.1per cent  and venue managers 4.9 per cent.

Thirty-eight per cent of visitors were from clubs, 18.2 per cent from hotels and 13.7 per cent from gaming companies. The exhibition was held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on behalf of the Gaming Technologies Association.
