Simworx hails Dubai success
Simulation attraction and effects theatre specialist Simworx has reported a very successful attendance at the recent DEAL trade show held in Dubai, UAE, on the back of which the company has announced the opening of a new sales office for the Middle East region.
"The event was a huge success in terms of the number of serious inquiries we had," said managing director Terry Monkton. "In fact we generated an unprecedented level of interest considering we didn't have any product physically on show.
"Compared to the last trade show we attended, in Europe, we increased genuine leads by almost 40 per cent which we were delighted with. I also made four sales visits during and after the event which is an indication of the levels of intention of the buyers attending the show.
"The show was particularly successful in bringing buyers to exhibitors," continued Monkton, "while we were also delighted to be the first company to be visited by Mr Khalifa Bakhid Al Falasi, the Minister of State of the UAE, during his visit to the show, something that is a great honour in this part of the world."
The success of the show capped a significant week for Simworx with the company also announcing the opening of a Dubai sales office. With many years' experience in the attractions industry, this will be headed up by Paul Grinnall as the company's Middle East sales representative, who will cover the entire region and report back to Monkton at the UK head office.
