Hine honoured...of sorts!

Andy Hine, MBE, chairman of the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain, featured in a recent report in the ToledoBlade.com (a US news website based in Ohio), following the group's latest coaster trip stateside.

Remarkably, however, the article consistently referred to the famous coaster enthusiast - who has clocked in well over 35,000 rides - as 'Sir Andy,' with no hint or trace of irony.

In 2003, Hine was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire, or MBE, for services to tourism. And knowing Andy as we do, he was very proud to be receive the honour. But it's a far cry from being knighted... and we fear we may have to refer to him by this new soubriquet from now on!
