Cirque reveals tarot-themed show
Cirque du Soleil, the Canadian-based entertainment troupe, has revealed a tarot-inspired permanent show, Zed, that will open at Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan on October 1.
Inspired by the world of tarot, the show's title comes from the name of the main character, Zed the fool, its director, Francois Girard, revealed.
Zed, which opens at the resort's Theatre Tokyo, will be the troupe's second permanent show in Asia, following one that is set to open in Macau (the Cirque du Soleil Macau) in August.
Cirque du Soleil hopes to increase its presence in the continent, following successful shows throughout North America since its foundation in 1984.
