Tatweer considers US shares bid
Tatweer, the leisure developer owned by Dubai's ruling sheikh and investing heavily in the Middle East's amusement infrastructure, is considering purchasing shares in a number of its US and Europe-based partners. Among these are Six Flags, DreamWorks Animation and Universal, which are all involved in huge projects in the Gulf.
At a recent interview during the World Economic Forum in Egypt, Tatweer CEO Kahlid Malik said his company was "very serious" about the proposal, as it looks to develop new projects "everywhere between Morocco and China."
