Bucharest to get first waterpark
Dutch water attractions specialist Van Egdom is currently completing a turnkey waterpark project in the city centre of Bucharest, Romania.
An existing swimming pool facility in the heart of the city is being redeveloped, with local government and tourist officials confident the waterpark will be a resounding success with residents.
The project marks Van Egdom's second foray into Romania and the company will supply not only the water attractions and water features, but the entire treatment/filtration system also.
The first phase, set to open on July 15, will include two 90m long water slides, a three-lane 22m waterslide, a water playground, a pirate-themed children's pool, as well as the water treatment system.
