Positive reports for Euro Disney
Euro Disney, the operator of the Disneyland Paris resort in France, has hailed an early Easter among other things for an upswing in its profits.
The company reported an operating profit of €1.3m in its first half to the end of March, from a loss of €36.3m a year earlier, as sales rose 18 per cent to €605.5m from €512.6m previously.
Turnover at its parks rose 17 per cent to €316.4m, on the back of increased visitor attendance and a two per cent average per cap spending increase. Occupancy rates at its hotels improved by over five per cent.
