Challenge Online Games has released the first free online game to bring together the nostalgia of baseball card collecting with the excitement of fantasy sports.

Baseball Boss allows virtual baseball cards to be used to create fantasy teams for head-to-head play against other teams, including historical ones.

The multiplayer online game holds a licensing agreement with MLB Advanced Media LP and the game’s virtual baseball cards include player statistics and photos.

According to its creators Baseball Boss is unique in that its short-form design allows it to be played in five to 15 minute increments rather than in long marathon sessions, meaning the format is ideal for both casual and hardcore gamers, who are looking for new and challenging options for play in between longer gaming sessions and during free time.
