Alderney's Wilsenach wins regulatory award
Alderney Gambling Control Commission chief executive Andre Wilsenach was declared this year's Regulator of the Year at the World Online Gambling Law Report Awards 2008, which took place at Tylney Hall in Hampshire, UK, recently.
"Andre has played a significant role in the development of regulation in this complex global online industry," said Lindsey Grieg, World Online Gambling Law Report managing editor.
"He has had to develop a regulatory framework in an area where there are no established precedents and where internet business models are constantly developing."
