Bowing to pressure from the US government, third-party payment solutions firm ePassporte will no longer transfer money when it suspects the transaction relates to online gambling, it is understood.

A letter is currently circulating around the internet from ePassporte to Pitbull Poker, in which the company’s managing director, Gregory Elias, informs Pitbull that their account has been suspended and their agreement with ePassporte terminated.

Similarly, Cake Poker customers recently received an email message from the poker site stating that ePassporte was unable to continue providing e-wallet services.

In leaving the US online gambling market, ePassporte joins NETeller, EcoCard, Citadel and FirePay.
