Joint Chinese gaming venture

Two Chinese companies announced at ICE that they have set up a joint venture to produce gaming machines and cabinets for the global market place.

Hai Wei and KJD have developed a new slot machine together. Hai Wei’s Kemo Qin said: “Customers can buy the slot machine complete or just the cabinet on its own, which they can then customise as they wish.”

The machine is now ready and will be shown at this year’s G2E Asia show in Macau. “The important thing is that we produce the whole thing and can therefore guarantee the quality,” said Qin.

“The quality and finish are as good as machines from the top manufacturers, but the price is lower.

The companies are producing between 2,000 and 3,000 machines per month using the latest digital laser technology from Japan.

“We are looking to do business with European and US manufacturers. We can supply the cabinets and they can badge them as they wish,” said Qin.
