Resorts World granted casino licence

Genting's Resorts World Sentosa has been cleared to operate a casino by the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore.

The authority issued the property with a casino licence on February 6, clearing the way for opening of the casino element of the resort.

Lim Kok, chairman of Resorts World Sentosa, said: "We are very happy to have received the casino licence.

"This was made possible by the dedicated team, consultants, contractors and government officials, especially the Casino Regulatory Authority, which worked tirelessly to set up the regulatory framework within a very aggressive timeline."
