Valley Forge awarded slots licence

The Pennsylvania Gaming Board, US, has awarded a slot operator licence for a category three resort to Valley Forge Convention Center Partners.The licence will permit the company to operate up to 500 slot machines at its site in Montgomery County.

The Valley Forge Convention Center has 488 hotel rooms on 850,000sq.ft of property and the company estimates that it will produce $74m in annual gross terminal revenue from slot machines by its fifth year of operation.
"Despite the tightened credit market, Valley Forge was able to demonstrate to the Gaming Control Board that it has obtained firm financial commitments for its project," said the voard’s chair, Mary DiGiacomo Colins.


The board has also agreed to consider an application filed by the Bushkill Group, which operates the Fernwood Hotel and Resort in the Poconos.
