Intralot H1 profits up, mulls Camelot stake
Intralot, the acquisitive Greek gaming and lottery company, has reported a 4.6 per cent increase in earnings for the first six months of the year.
The Athens-based consortium, which is world's second-largest lottery systems supplier, said consolidated for the period totalled €547.5m, up 44.5 per cent on the comparible period in 2007. Profits rose 4.6 per cent year-on-year to €60.3m.
Following the results, Intralot has been linked to the possible purchase of a stake in the UK lottery operator, Camelot.
"We will be interested to see the terms of the sale, whether they are interesting, and we will then decide," chief executive Constantinos Antonopoulos told Reuters.
