New Basque rules

New laws covering the operation of gaming machines have been announced by the Basque government in Spain. The number of Type B machines (AWPs) permitted in arcades has risen from 1,500 to 2,500 and for the first time internet halls feature in the regulations.

Additionally, bingo halls and casinos may be used as betting shops.

The regulations also recognise the use of lottery tickets through machines, coupons and random lotteries and lay down rules for a four-month trial period for machine testing.
