GTECH G2 partners with Hungarian lottery operator
GTECH G2 has signed a six-year partnership with Szerencsejatek Zrt, the Hungarian National Lottery operator.
The lottery has exclusive rights to operate lotto style games, scratch tickets and sports wagering products throughout the country.
GTECH G2 will provide the lottery with its sports betting platform, Margin Maker, which powers some of the biggest sports books.
Within the partnership, GTECH G2 will also provide Szerencsejatek Zrt with its Gaming Management System, which provides a back office to operators and will allow the lottery operator to have a single view of the player across any gaming product.
"The partnership will revolutionise the operator's current sports betting capabilities through the internet and set the foundations for future i-gaming product development," the company said.
Betfair looks ahead to Spain issuing first licences
Following the Spanish government stating its intention to issue a first wave of online gaming licences at the beginning of June, Betfair has issued an update on its licensing and tax position in the country.
