International Gaming Awards finalists announced
In the run-up to the fifth International Gaming Awards taking place on January 23 in London, there has been a record number of entries and the finalists have now been announced.
In the i-Gaming Software Supplier category, the finalists are: Betsoft Gaming, Evolution Gaming, GTECH G2, Income Access, Microgaming, Net Entertainment, NYX Interactive, Openbet and Playtech.
Categories are across the land-based and online sectors and include: Casino/Integrated Resort of the Year, Casino Operator, Casino VIP Room of the Year, Customer Experience of the Year, Industry Publication/Portal of the Year, Mobile Operator of the Year, Online Bingo Operator of the Year, Online Casino Operator of the Year, Online Poker Operator of the Year, Online Sportsbook Operator of the Year, Payment Solutions Provider Company of the Year, Socially Responsible Operator of the Year Land Based, Socially Responsible Operator of the Year Online, Slot Manufacturer/Provider Online or Land Based, Slots Operator of the Year (Online), Technology Provider/Supplier, Traditional Casino Equipment Supplier and, last but not least, the Outstanding Contribution Award.
Finalists from all categories can be viewed here. The winners will be announced on the night of January 23 at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London. Tickets are still on sale.
Co-founder Lana Thompson said: "The global event will capture online and land-based professionals, while meeting, mixing and mingling with new players to the game."
Betfair looks ahead to Spain issuing first licences
Following the Spanish government stating its intention to issue a first wave of online gaming licences at the beginning of June, Betfair has issued an update on its licensing and tax position in the country.
