Itai Frieberger, CEO of 888, has hailed the company’s performance in 2016 as “fantastic,” after the i-gaming company posted double-digit growth across all measures of revenue and earnings.

For the 12 months to December 31, 2016, revenue at 888 increased 13 per cent to $520.8m.

In the period, B2C revenue rose 15 per cent to $460.2m with casino revenue up 21 per cent to $279.3m. Revenue from sport increased 49 per cent to $51.9m.

Adjusted EBITDA was up 12 per cent year on year, to $90.2m, at a margin of 17.3 per cent.

Mobile accounted for 60 per cent of B2C revenue in 2016, up from 47 per cent the year before.

In a statement, Frieberger said: “It was another fantastic year for 888 during which we continued to deliver very strong organic revenue and profit growth. This was again underpinned by further outstanding progress in casino, sport and across regulated markets.

888’s further expansion in the UK, Spain and Italy is a strong demonstration of the group’s ability to drive excellent growth and build leading market positions across regulated markets as the industry continues to head in this direction.

“These strong results demonstrate the truly outstanding underlying momentum in the business,” he said.
