Provider of identity proofing technology iSignthis has announced that it has entered into an agreement with global payments company Ixaris.
The company will integrate its Know Your Customer service to provide Ixaris with remote identity verification and compliance to the EU’s Fourth AML Directive which takes effect in 2017.
Anti-money laundering regulations require not only the end consumer to be identified, but also the directors, ultimate beneficial owners and key controllers of entities that act in the delivery chain of AML regulated services.
Ixaris has contracted with iSignthis for the provision of identity verification services, with a fee payable to the company for each identity verified. The verification of customers being issued with Ixaris cards is not within the current scope of the agreement.
Charlotte Roberts, head of compliance at Ixaris, said: “Through integration with iSignthis, we expect to be able to streamline and accelerate our onboarding process.”
