Asian online betting firm Beteast is the new short sponsor of Premier League football club Swansea City, in what the club has said is the biggest such deal in its history.

Beteast will appear on the front of first-team shirts for the forthcoming season and will also become the club's official Asian betting and gaming partner.

“It is an exciting partnership and the biggest front-of-shirt deal the club has ever secured,” said the Swansea City vice-chairman and commercial director Leigh Dineen.

Beteast said in a statement: “The partnership will cover an incredibly exciting period for us and Swansea City, especially with Ki Sung-Yueng, one of Asia's top footballers, at the Liberty Stadium.

“This is Beteast's first venture into British football and the next step in a sponsorship strategy that will aim to make the brand present in top sporting events around the world.”
