LeoVegas celebrated the recent launch of the latest James Bond film, Spectre, with a themed blackjack tournament played out by five finalists who each shared a name with a Bond character.

Hosted at the Spying Room, in London - a location used in the filming of Skyfall - the five finalists competed in rounds of elimination blackjack to win a trip to Las Vegas.

Taking part were namesakes James Bond, siblings Charlotte and Elliott Moneypenny, Dominic Green and Chris Goldfinger.

The final came down to 15 hands between Goldfinger and Green, who shares his name with 007’s nemesis from 2008 outing, Quantum of Solace.

Green scooped top prize after Goldfinger’s luck ran out. “It was a fantastic evening and great to meet and compete against other Bond namesakes,” said a victorious Green. “I never expected to win, but now I’m off to Vegas. I can’t thank LeoVegas enough for this opportunity.”

Shenaly Amin, UK country manager for LeoVegas, said: “Blackjack is an important game for LeoVegas; we were the first to pioneer elimination blackjack tournaments with the British Blackjack Tournament and now we’re the first to host the first all-Bond blackjack tournament.”

The event capped off months of Bond-based activity for LeoVegas, with the online casino having previously surveyed the nation to find the UK’s favourite Bond themes, movies and top picks to take over the role from Daniel Craig.
