The partnership is the betting company’s first foray into rugby and Tindall will feature in the company’s advertising and promotional materials. He will also make media appearances and post to the Betway blog during the build-up to the World Cup, the autumn internationals and next year’s Six Nations.

Betway CEO Richard Akitt said: “Signing a rugby legend like Mike Tindall is another significant coup for Betway and we’re looking forward to sharing his unique insights with our customers.

“The Rugby World Cup promises to be a truly wonderful event and we’re thrilled to welcome Mike on board.”

Tindall added: “After the gripping final Saturday of this year’s Six Nations, anticipation levels for the World Cup have heightened considerably.

“The tournament highlighted that England, Ireland and Wales can all be considered as genuine contenders to lift the Webb Ellis trophy and I’m excited to help Betway analyse and guide their customers through this tremendously exciting tournament and beyond.”
