New Jersey Senator Raymond Lesniak is to speak at the iGaming North America Conference taking place in April.

Senator Lesniak has been at the helm of efforts to legalise sports betting in New Jersey for years. He will be presenting the "Progress Report - The Legalisation of Sports Betting" at the event on April 16.

He will update attendees on where the effort stands, prospects for success and what to expect, followed by a discussion with other experts in this field.

"This is a great panel - very diversified, with panelists who have been around all aspects of this issue for quite a while,” said moderator Terry Leiweke, managing director for Absolute Sports Info/The Linemakers. “Their commentary will be very insightful and informative. If you're interested in the sports betting industry, you won't want to miss this unfiltered conversation."

Other speakers will include David Purdum, a gaming industry reporter for ESPN, and Benjie Cherniak, managing director of Don Best Sports.

The conference is taking place on April 14-16 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
