The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has granted Betfair permission to continue online wagering after the company’s Atlantic City-based partner, the Trump Plaza, closes its doors on September 16.

This is in spite of the fact that, to date, online gaming sites have only been able to operate in the state once partnering with a land-based casino. 

DGE director David Rebuck has said in a statement that Betfair “want to remain fully functional and stay in New Jersey and we will work with them to do that.”
