Sports betting specialist Sportradar and SportAccord, the union of all Olympic and non-Olympic sports international federations, signed a memorandum of understanding during the 2014 SportAccord Convention to align their prevention and education approaches on sports betting integrity.
The initiative aims at co-ordinating the sharing of information across all stakeholders, developing a licensing system for both the world of sport and for betting operators and improving public awareness.
"Sportradar’s proven expertise in the field of betting related-match fixing prevention and education will prove invaluable to us,” said SportAccord president, Marius Vizer.
Carsten Koerl, Sportradar CEO (pictured with Vizer), added: “SportAccord’s position as the union for international sports federations from all around the world makes it a vital player in the global fight against betting-related match fixing and they should be applauded for the work they are doing to protect the integrity of sport.
