Robert Melendres (pictured), vice president in charge of “emerging” business at IGT – including online, mobile, and social gaming - has stepped down and will leave the company on January 1, 2014.
Chief financial officer John Vandemore has been named executive vice president for emerging business. Melendres, no longer an executive officer, will report to Vandemore.
Melendres joined IGT in 2009 as chief legal officer and corporate secretary following a career with high-tech companies. He became head of interactive in January 2012.
