Hot Games gets Road Rage on the iPhone
After several years of developing Apple iPod and iPhone Apps, UK-based game developer Hot Games has just released its own branded game, Road Rage Arcade Driver.
Commenting on the move, Heath Samples, CEO at Hot Games, said: "We were pretty quick to get on board the development ladder for Apple resulting to date in the launch of over 40 Apps for different companies into iTunes. When we started there were only 20,000 Apps in the iTunes library and since then, we have seen Apps take off astronomically in terms of numbers and the popularity is phenomenal. It’s a real step change and provides a huge opportunity."
The Road Rage game takes iPhone functionality back to a basic but competitive level while levering a traditional arcade game into the online world. Using the iPhone Accelerometer the player steers the coin along the road in the fastest time possible. The kicker is to try and increase that speed to sub 10 seconds. Samples added:"On the next release we will be providing players with the ability to upload their high scores onto the Win Each Time website where they will then win prizes along with random competitions."
