Loaded with the latest technology and always one step ahead of industry trends, Coin Tech celebrates its 20th anniversary this year

Coin Tech has been driven by the ambitious spirit of its two founders Daniel Giovannoni and Daniel Fabrizi to become the company that stands before the industry today and as a software and hardware developer, it makes the most of technology in order to achieve its market goals.

“The marketplace is no longer just competitive - it's hypercompetitive,” says international sales manager, Santiago Barbero.

“The accelerating speed of business and increasing cluttering of the market are leading to demands for something more than the ordinary. The industry is demanding radical differentiation between products and companies and the only way to be at the height of market trends is living and breathing cutting edge technology. When everyone zigs, you have to zag.”

Today, Coin Tech's system not only offers payment solutions and business management, but having a debit card reader that features a fast image processor, HD and a 3.5ins full LCD touchscreen display technology it provides operators with marketing tools that allow them to sell advertising spots. Every card reader unit becomes a powerful means of communication. Coin Tech's use of improved technologies has also enhanced the end user's experience, by providing them with innovative products that are not only visual but multi-sensorial, featuring high quality video images, sounds and touchscreen apps.

“The most significant advancement in technology within the coin-op amusement industry is related to interactive ways of communication and social networks,” says Barbero. “Nowadays, everything goes to Facebook, Twitter, blogs, MySpace and so on, so companies have started to follow this trend and make use of it as a powerful marketing tool.

“Photos, videos, news, promotions, special offers and events are all uploaded and shared to the social network world. This phenomenon has become the 21st century concept of communication, which means that the customer's experience does not end at the restaurant, arcade, or FEC; it overpasses the physical location and continues from the comfort of their homes, computers or even telephones.”

For Coin Tech, trends in technology over the next few years will continue to be based around interactive ways of communication, which means more interaction and integration with other systems and companies. While this will remain its focus, another area of great concern for Coin Tech is to meet and align itself with environmental standards, lowering energy consumption and starting a 'green' trend in the amusement industry.

Coin Tech has always been open to new technologies, researching, being involved and implementing them. For this reason, the company has reinvented itself, creating state-of-the-art products in order to add value and enrich the amusement industry and one of its most successful innovations has been the Xperience debit card reader.

“We have shown it to many of the most important operators and their jaws have dropped,” said the company owners. “Why get a standard card reader and just upgrade your technology, when you can get an Xperience debit card reader and upgrade your entire interactive experience,” said Julio Kupferman, CEO of Neverland entertainment centres in Argentina.

Ticket Jackpot is another innovative product making its mark on the industry, as according to Coin Tech, it provides a new competitive edge for innovative precursors. An additional module of Game System, Ticket Jackpot features a progressive jackpot of redemption tickets, with a wide variety of settings, amazing images and sound effects.

Also new from the manufacturer is the Game System Suite Advisor. This new software module offers smart reports, traditional admin alerts, event viewer and the latest updates in Game System: FlexiReport and GS Sense, which is designed to instantly let the company owner or CEOs know if they are “on or off” their commercial plan without having to focus on the metrics and statistics. Operators can set up their business so that it stays on course, be instantly notified by push notifications about their business status and spend their time doing more business.

In addition to this, operators no longer have to wait for an IT department or designers to build reports on their timetables. Now, they can create their own, customised, easy-to-use reports with the new module of Game System FlexiReport.

One of the first and very important foreign customers for Coin Tech was HotZone, located in Brazil. The CEO of the company, Agenor Chinen, has said: “We chose Coin Tech because it has always been a precursor of innovation, reinventing its hardware and software and we consider a debit card system a technology solution investment.”

As the amusement industry began to take note and pay attention to the new technology solutions available in the market, interest began to grow among operators.

“At Recorcholis we can't think of starting a new location without having Coin Tech's debit card system installed,” said Miguel Angel Uribe, general director of Recórcholis, Mexico.

“We have been strategic partners since the beginning, we grew up together as companies and we rely on them.” And for Ashish Gupta, country head of Funcity India, Coin Tech's payment solution Game System, “is a great way to set up your business, get a competitive advantage and be a leader in the market. It is the latest technology for managing family entertainment centres, the system is fully customisable and user friendly.”

Juan Kurhelec, president of Playland in Argentina, adds: “With Game System we manage to control all our FECs from our head office, we can distribute the information selectively to the areas that need it, such as administration, operations and so on. Coin Tech enabled us to see the whole operation at once and compare different branches and performance. For us it is the only way of controlling our business.”

As a final message from the two entertainment visionaries, Daniel Fabrizi and Daniel Giovannoni commented: “We would like to thank to all our collaborators and staff members, who are our best and most important resource; we could not reach 20 years of developing technology without their help. We would also like to thank every single client that trusted and believed in Coin Tech all of these years; we continue to work to try and improve ourselves every day to provide you with the best possible service. Thank you for making us what we are are, a technology innovation company.”
