Taiwanese cabinet manufacturer Weche is aiming to provide more products, such as change machines, for the amusement market.

"In the past we have been more involved in the gaming market, but now amusements is the focus," vice president Sam Stone told InterGame at last week’s GTI show in Taipei.

The company has two manufacturing plants, one in Taiwan and the other in China. The Taiwan operation targets Europe and the US, while the Chinese facility caters for the Japanese market.

"Because we have aimed at the gaming industry we do not sell much in Taiwan or China, because gaming is not allowed there," said Stone. "So we are now focusing more on products for the amusement market."

Weche produces around three new cabinets per year, but is now going to increase that number. "We are making improvements to things like lighting and function continually," said Stone.
