AOU 2011 held in Tokyo, Japan, last week showed a plethora of new product from all the major manufacturers in the industry.

According to online reports, Bandai Namco introduced a new racing game, similar to Konami’s 3D Road Fighters, called Maximum Heat 3D. It sees players race against other virtual or non-virtual players and they have the choice between a 2D mode and 3D mode using 3D glasses.

Konami apparently introduced upgrades for its music game series including Jubeat and Guitar Hero, while presenting Love Plus Arcade - a simulator which sees players dress up their favourite character and so on.

Sega, along with Bandai Namco, had one of the biggest stands at the AOU and presented some interesting titles including fighting game Chaos Code, Project Diva Arcade, Virtual Fighter 5 Final Showdown, Boarder Break V2 and Let’s Go Island 3D, as well as two major tactic/manager games - Star Boat, where players have to build their team of racers and fight against other teams, and Horse Race 3, where players have to select the best horse and jockey to win races in different locations.

Taito, had a more modest presence than its competitors, according to reports, but did have several upgraded versions of existing titles such as Haunted Museum II and Music GunGun 2.
