Following recent speculation in the UK coin-op amusement industry over Instance Automatic's Hook the Duck conversion kit for Skill Ball Bingo, the manufacturer, along with Livewire Gaming, has issued the following statement.

"Hook the Duck is 100 per cent compliant with the SWP review paper issued by the HMRC & Gambling Commission on July 30, 2010."

Hook the Duck is a conversion kit for Nova’s Skill Ball Bingo and sees the player press the ‘Hook It’ button or ‘Chuck It’ button when they see a duck come into view featuring a number that corresponds with a number on the grid on screen.

Instance Automatic’s Ian Eason told InterGame: "A supplier in the conversion kit field has contacted a few of our Hook the Duck operators stating it is illegal, which is untrue and misleading. The game has been site tested for eight weeks in a wide variety of environments with some very rewarding results."
