Foundations Entertainment University, an amusement industry educational seminar held in different locations in the US, has closed its 15th consecutive year of sessions with its 43rd class, in Chicago, August 8-10.

Foundations University celebrates 15th year

The session’s total attendance was 56, making this the largest class of the year outside of the one preceding the Las Vegas Amusement Expo in March. Twenty states were represented with two attendees flying in from the UK.

This iteration of Foundations had five special industry association attendees: Pete Gustafson, Tina Schwartz and Ashley Davis from the American Amusement Machine Assocation and Maggie Kapinos from the Amusement and Music Operators Association, who came to learn the finer details of the family entertainment centre industry, including expertise in redemption and merchandiser games, from Frank Seninsky and Barbara Peltz of Bowling Center Management Magazine.

Bill Snoberger of US Bowling said: “I think any potential entrepreneur should attend. One can never be educated enough. Listening is key. I think [the event] nailed all factors of importance.”
