Heide Park Resort is experiencing success with its Ghostbusters 5D ride, which was recently developed by theming specialist Scruffy Dog.
The resort, an 850,000sq.m themed parkland location, tasked Scruffy Dog with aiding in the ride’s creation, design and theming alongside Merlin Entertainments and Triotech.
“Studying the impressive visual styles and architecture of the Ghostbusters franchise was something our team worked heavily on with Merlin Magic Making in the early stages of the project,” the company said. “Blending various wooden styles, vibrant paint finishes and weird and wonderful ‘invention-like’ theming, we were able to quickly establish a vision for the land.”
The ride has players team up with the Ghostbusters to save Heide Park. Equipped with multiple proton blaster choices, guests take a journey through a warehouse in the Ecto-X hybrid vehicles, searching for ghosts to capture and secrets to uncover.
