The US end of Sega Amusements and its UK colleagues had a rare opportunity to get together last week, when the American sales team visited the company’s London headquarters.

Sega brings Daytona back

Vince Moreno, Marty Smith and Carlos Laguardia attended planning meetings, reviewed current and future products, visited local UK operations and the R&D office, plus the British factory producing Daytona.

The visit was timed to coincide with the company’s annual strategic and review meeting and it also included the annual employee awards ceremony. It was Vince Moreno who was to receive the coveted Employee of the Year Award. He commented: “I am very happy to have won this award. There were other great nominees who had also performed just as well this year.

"My thanks to all who helped me achieve this award and most importantly our customers. We have a fantastic line of products this year with Daytona Championship USA, Target Bravo, Let’s Go Island Dream Edition and a range of redemption games.”

On the transatlantic visit, he said: “The visit was very productive and we got to meet the expanding team at the head office and R&D as well as learn about the strong line-up of games coming the next two years. Despite the busy schedule, I am pleased to say we did get a chance to squeeze in a quick visit to the local heritage site Hampton Court Palace.”
