Ladbrokes Coral eyeing Tabcorp

Britain's biggest bookmaker Ladbrokes Coral is weighing up a bid for Australia’s largest betting company, Tabcorp, reports the Telegraph.

The newspaper understands that Ladbrokes Coral has appointed advisers within the last few weeks to work on the proposal.

Tabcorp has a market value of £2.3bn, is one of the top 100 companies listed on the Australian stock exchange. The deal would create one of the world’s largest gambling groups with a value around £5bn.
