HB Leisure appoints new MD

HB Leisure Ltd, the North Wales based specialist in the skill games and coin-operated amusement business, has appointed a new managing director.

Alex Sparks joins HB Leisure from the retail industry in which he spent 10 years with the Virgin Group and 15 years with Blockbuster Entertainment, where he was managing director for the UK for seven years and in addition had responsibility for the company’s 200 store Gamestation division.

Spark’s role will involve managing the company on a day-to-day basis and working alongside executive chairman Tim Batstone to shape expansion plans for the future in addition to helping to build on existing relationships.

HBL specialises in the supply and operation of skill and midway style games, coin-operated amusement games, amusement centres and pay to play activities. Operating internationally, the company currently works in over 30 locations in the UK, mainland Europe and the Middle East, where it also operates a regional office.
