Management changes at Novomatic UK have been announced.

Mersich, Austin, Butler and Davies

From January 1, Zane Mersich steps down as managing director of Astra Games to become CEO at Novomatic UK, based in London.

Bell-Fruit Games managing director John Austin retires after 15 years of running the Nottingham-based company, but will remain as an “ambassador”.

The managing director posts at both Astra and BFG will now be taken over by Gamestec managing director Chris Butler, and in turn he will be replaced at Gamestec by Peter Davies who will simultaneously take up a similar role with Playnation, the operating company.

Davies will now take up a place on the Novomatic UK board.

Also announced in the changes, Tony Oliver, managing director at Mazooma Interactive and Darwyn Palenzuela, managing director at Extreme Live Gaming, will report directly to Zane Mersich.

Davies commented that 2016 will see the group more than treble the revenues recorded in 2008 when he joined.
