THE overriding trend in payment technology is flexibility. At a time of great flux, all over the globe, products need to be adapted quickly so that operators do not lose out on revenue and also to allow them quicker, more effective servicing.

“A fundamental design criteria for both the Microcoin and GBA currency acceptors is modularity, so that the units can be easily handled for service and support,” said Robert Bird, group marketing manager for Astrosystems. “This modularity sets them apart from others because they are technically sophisticated in their currency validation techniques and mechanical design, yet are very easy to handle when it comes to accessing the component parts for service.”
