A new £1.6m bowling and family entertainment complex has opened in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.

The new Superbowl UK site, which officially opened its doors last week, features 14 lanes of bowling, a softplay centre, laser tag, an amusement arcade, a bar and dining facilities.

The 20,000sq.ft venue has created 30 new jobs and follows the opening of Superbowl UK’s site in Cardiff earlier this year. Kate Quaintance, director of QLP, the company behind the venture, told Wales Online that Merthyr Tydfil’s leisure village site is the “ideal location” for the complex.

“Superbowl UK offers activities that aren’t available anywhere else in Merthyr and we’re confident that residents and businesses here will love what we have to offer and that the site will be a great success.”
